As many of us gather for worship of our Lord Christ this morning, may we do so asking the Great God to reveal our own hearts to us. May God reveal were our affections truly lie and may we bend the knee in trust that God is good and for us, no matter what we may be experiencing at the time. May we remember the truth of scripture that is all throughout and which is clearly evident in the account of Joseph. This is the truth that just because we are going through a very tough, trying, and difficult time does not mean that God is not in it or has abandoned us. Quite the contrary, many times God has allowed it for our greater good and future affectiveness in his will and plan for us. Likewise, just because everything is “hunky-dorie” from our perspective does not mean that we are in the center of God’s will and everything is alright. God has a plan and a role for each of us. The question is, do you and I trust a good God enough to submit to Him regardless of our circumstance?
